Trevor at age 3

I'm only a month late on this post.  Oops. Oh well.

At Trevor's 3 year well-visit he was 39 inches tall (82%) and 36lbs 3oz (87%) with BP of 82/60.

At age 3 he is:
- wearing 4T/4/5 clothes, size 4 undies, and size 9/10 shoes
- almost completely finished potty training.  Has been dry everyday after his nap for about 3 weeks now and closing in on 2 weeks dry in the morning.  During the day he tells us when he has to go and can go in the bathroom alone and do everything but wash his hands.  There are still occasional accidents from waiting too long, but they are rare.
- sleeping in a twin bed now with a side rail.  He wakes at 7, naps 2-3:30, and is in bed at 8:30
- he can sing the ABC's, recognizes all the letters, both upper and lower case, and can name off words that start with each letter.  He knows how to spell several short words (Trevor, Dad, Mom, Abby, Lowes) and knows the sounds that most of the letters make so is starting to sound them out with help.  I hear "Mom how do you spell ____?" at LEAST 5 times a day.  He recognizes the word Meijer for sure and points it out on food boxes, laundry soap, pretty much all over our house. :D  The other day he had a toy shovel in the car that we found in our hedge once, and he said "Mom does this say Chic-fil-A?"  Turned it over and sure enough it did.
- We have a jar of Popsicle sticks with names on them that we use to pray for people.  There are maybe 50 sticks and we do 2 a day so each person comes around maybe once a month.  Whole families are listed together so it might say "Uncle Andy, Aunt Shawna, Lydia, & Remy."  (If you forget to pray for Remy Trevor notices right away).  When we pull out a stick Trevor can 'read' the name with 80% accuracy.  HOW- we do not know.  He just started and that led to us asking him if he knew and somehow he does.  I'm sure he recognizes some words like Uncle, Mr. & Mrs., and goes from there... if he 'reads' Andy for instance he just spouts off the rest because he knows who goes in what family, but at freshly 3 I still think that's pretty sharp.
- When we are driving in the car he points out UPS trucks, Fed Ex, mailmen, Penske, and any construction vehicles we see.  He knows when we turn onto our street or the street before it "Mom is this Kemp?".  He says things like "That's Mike's carwash. I went there with Dad and Pappy. They drew a smiley face on my window." or "There's Chic-fil-A. Grandpa and Uncle Stevie went there to get us lunch. I stayed home to play.  Abby was SLEEPING." He also points out Target, Babies R Us "The R is backwards Mom", Meijer, Wal-Mart, Barnes&Noble, etc.  If you pass the ramp to I-675 he says "Is that the way to Fairborn?  You know what's in Fairborn Mom?  The LIBRARY."  I could elaborate on this for hours.  If we go into church he probably knows the names of 50+ people, though if you ask him in front of someone else he'll just giggle crazily and say 'Can you tell me?' even though he KNOWS.
- He knows every Thomas engine he's ever come across and if a new one appears on an episode or in a book or somewhere we must google it immediately to find out the name and he will remember it even if he never sees that one again.
- He remembers tons of stories from real life and can tell you 25 details about what happened on Thanksgiving or what Aunt Shawna said or did the last time we saw her even if it was months ago.
- He knows where Abby's clothes are in her dresser (better than Kyle. HA).  If I ask he can go upstairs and fetch her some new pants or a burp cloth and bring them back down to us.
- He has some 12 piece puzzles that are just pieces on a board, no picture underneath, that he can do alone without help.
- Still likes to read a lot. Loves to dance, jump, run, etc.
- Still loves his giraffee and covers him in spit while watching ipad on my bed.
- He goes to Sunday School and we've been touring preschools thinking about next year.

He's a really good kid and we're glad he's ours. :)
