Abby 18 mo

At her 18 month check-up Abby weighed 25 lbs 13 oz (85%), 33 in long (84%) & head 48cm (89%).
[Trevor was 31 lbs 2 oz, 34 in, and 50.8cm head]

Some things to note about Abby:

-She takes her socks off 25 or more times a day.  A short while later she will point at her bare feet and exclaim 'socks!'  She also likes to rip out her hair barrette and say 'pony'.
-At every meal she insists on naming what color everyone's cup is.  First she shouts 'blue! blue! blue!' until I say "Yes, mommy's cup is blue".  Then she goes on, 'Trevor. Daddy. Abby' and wants to discuss those also.  Sometimes she will say the answers herself.
-She insists on certain songs and shouts their names over and over until we oblige.  Her current favorites are Jesus Loves Me and I Will Glory in my Redeemer
-Sometimes when Trevor is humming Abby chimes in some words.  Correctly.  :)
-When she wants to be picked up she demands 'Hold you'.  If she wants to be held she shouts 'lap lap lap'
-She is also known to get herself on your back and shout 'horse'
-She loves reading books, playing doctor, and taking care of dolls or stuffed animals.
-She likes narrating books with simple pictures, doing her shape sorter (she can name most of the shapes correctly), and matches colors well.
- She climbs and runs well, and likes to sit in her high chair and shake her head violently throwing her hair around like a wet dog, giggling all the while.
-During the day if you ask her where Trevor is she will say 'preschool'.  If you ask about Dad she will say 'Work. Backpack. Lunch.'  When he says bye in the morning she reminds him to take his things then shouts 'window. bench.' [she is ready to wave good-bye]  She also likes to stand on the bench and watch for dogs or the mailman.
-If you couldn't tell, she talks a lot.  Repeats everything.  She's starting to know the names of some of Trevor's trains, but really gets him going if she calls Percy 'James' or vice versa.  He also gets worked up at her mispronunciations- 'Why does she say geen instead of green?'
-She is peeing on the potty several times a day and staying dry during her nap 50% of the time.  No actual training yet- just setting her on there before/after sleep and she's doing awesome.  While on the potty she insists on holding a bottle of hand cream and putting some on her legs.  She is quite particular in a lot of ways.
- She will play content at our shoe bench for at least 20 minutes several times day, just pulling down everyone's shoes and trying them on.
