Saturday night Trevor and Abby stayed up late and watched Madagascar. No extra hour of sleeping here. Sunday night we had a big storm and the power went off for a second. Trevor's preschool flooded so Monday he was home from school. On Tuesday, Brooke was born.
The last few weeks my back had been hurting, so I went to see a physical therapist. She told me that if you walk along a curb, with one foot raised and the other on the ground, it will cause the baby to come. I tried this Monday night, and lo and behold, it might have worked.
I woke up Tuesday morning and had a feeling the baby might be born, so we packed our things, took these pictures, and dropped Trevor and Abby off at a friend's house around 10:20am.
We drove back home, dropped off the van, got the car, and drove to the hospital. We checked in at 10:45am. Brooke was born at 11:31am.
Trevor and Abby spent the day with a friend, and Aunt Bethanne picked them up after she got off work. Grammy also drove out that day, so the 4 of them all got to come meet Brooke on Tuesday night. Trevor and Abby gave Brooke a lovey, and Brooke gave Trevor a train (Streamlined Emily) and Abby a toy birthday cake with candles. We all sang Happy Birthday to Brooke and celebrated with a brownie.
The next day (Wednesday) our photographer friend came and took some pictures. Brooke had a hearing test and some other assessments, and we were discharged to go home Wednesday night.
