Friday morning Kyle took Trevor to story time at the library. Normally Kyle is at work so I always go, so that was sort of a fun treat. Then Uncle Steve and Grandpa came to eat lunch and take Grandma home.
Kyle's work sent Abby a present. Cute bear & blankie, and also a sweater. Very sweet thought but completely cracked us up because you get 0 days off and have to use all vacation time when baby is born. But at least we have an official AIS pink blanket. Ha.
Saturday was our first day on our own. Abby weighed 6 lb 13 oz at her doctor appt on Thursday so Saturday we had to go back for a weight check. She was up to 6 lb 15 oz so the doctor was thrilled and we don't have to go back until her 2 week appt now.
When we got home our friends Bethany & Tim stopped to visit with their boys Elijah & Samuel on their drive thru to Pennsylvania. Elijah is 3 months older than Trevor. They enjoyed playing together and we enjoyed catching up, as much as you can while watching 4 kids. ;)
That night a local pizza restaurant delivered us a free meal to help celebrate Abby's arrival. They sent an XL pizza, a small 'big brother' pizza for Trevor, salads, 4 breadsticks, a 2 liter, and a take-n-bake pizza kit to make with Trevor for lunch this week. They also sent a burp cloth for Abby and little body wash for me. How fun. :)
Trevor has been reading his books with buttons along the side non-stop this week. :) Abby will probably have them memorized in no time. Trevor sure does.
Trevor has been wanting to help give Abby a bath in this blue tub for weeks now, but we decided to try her first one without him so we waited until 9pm. She screamed bloody murder, but luckily Trevor didn't wake up. Earlier in the afternoon we had to cut Trevor's toenails, and he screamed bloody murder too (Abby was right next to him and slept thru the whole ordeal). I told Kyle it must have been 'torture your kids' day. Who knew hygiene was so rough. I'm hoping she'll like baths more after her cord falls off and she can be submerged in the water.
Got out and found her thumb to suck in 2 seconds flat.
