Day Out with Thomas

Last Saturday we went to Day Out with Thomas in Lebanon.
Trevor was 2.5, Abby was 6 weeks old.

Our train ride was scheduled for 10am.  We got there a little after 9am, got our wristbands, and had time to check out a few of the activities before boarding Thomas.  Trevor got a balloon animal.

Abby slept

Around 9:45am we took Trevor to the bathroom, then got in line to board Thomas.
'No seat belts Mom.'

Abby had a bottle of milk on Thomas.
Trevor seemed fairly neutral to the whole thing while we were actually riding, but still gets very excited when he talks about it and remembers that Thomas blew his whistle.

Thomas kept pulling out for new rides so it was hard to get pictures with him, but this car was there more for looks, so Trevor had fun climbing on it.

See Abby there in her stroller? :)

There were lots of different activities to do too.  One tent had temporary tattoos of all the engines and different train tables set up where you could play.

Another had a man reading Thomas books & showing video clips.

Trevor had randomly told me that morning that he didn't want to say Hi to Sir Topham Hatt.  We had talked about this day a lot, about how we would have our tickets, and the conductor might punch your ticket.  We made play tickets, we practiced punching them with a hole punch, etc. etc. so I just guessed somewhere in there I must have said that Sir Topham Hatt might be there and we could say hi?  No clue but I didn't think too much of it.

Well turns out he was there.  They gave everyone a little map, and as you went to each tent they gave you a stamp.  If you got all 4 stamps they gave you a free prize (which turned out to be dumb and not worth it).  So we got in line for a picture with Sir Topham Hatt.  You can see what Trevor thought of him.  He still mentions about 10 times a day 'Trevor didn't want to say hi to Sir Topham Hatt, Mom. I was SCARED!!!!!!!'  Hopefully he's not scarred for life.

Good thing we didn't stand in line for the professional picture with Thomas because he didn't even look at the camera.  Oh well.

Eating lunch in the car on the ride home.

Playing with trains.  We got the Thomas Day Out car at the gift tent which we now call 'the party car.'
