Last Friday (9/4) we took Abby to see a specialist from Cincinnati Children's so they could look at her birthmark. They said it is a hemangioma, but should go away on its own. We have a medicine that we rub onto it two times a day (to prevent growth), and they basically said to continue for 6 months or so until it looks lighter, then wean down to once a day, and eventually stop. We don't really need to go back, but can call or email with questions or pictures at any time.
So basically, not a big deal.
At the appointment Abby weighed 11lbs 15 oz & was 23 inches long (almost 8 weeks old).
Abby is starting to really enjoy the toy mat, smiling and squealing at the animals and
throwing her arms around trying to bat at them. Trevor thinks that's hysterical.
Not sure what she thinks of a truck speeding under her legs.
