On Thursday Kyle turned 28 1/2. When I told Trevor he immediately said 'donut!!' I guess that will be our new half birthday tradition. So I took the kids to Meijer to get some donuts. Trevor wanted to buy some balloons, but I told him we had some at home. After I blew them up we decided to draw faces on them. These provided many more hours of entertainment than I anticipated. :) Will have to remember that for a snowy day this winter when we need something fun to play with.
For his 'gift' I tried to take a picture similar to one he took for me for Mother's Day 2013. You can see them side by side below. Setting up a tripod and getting a baby to look is difficult in itself, but getting your toddler to stay out of the way and also not move the tripod adds a whole different element. I will confess I bribed him with a pack of fruit snacks and still ended up having to re-take it after putting him in bed for his nap.
Everyone loves Dad. :)
