Pie

Abby usually has one short nap after dinner, but it's really hard to get her to sleep for it. 

 One night we took her on a walk in the carrier and she decided she liked it enough to doze off.  Trevor was busy beeping his 'microphone' (stud finder) like a mad man so she must have been really tired, or maybe it was the sound machine Kyle has hanging off his back.  ;)

This year for the labor day pie we did apple again.  

In attempt to be different from last year we did a leaf cut-out pattern for the top crust. 

When Trevor laid down for his nap he was very excited about pie.  We told him it was a love pie, just like we made Dad for Father's Day.  But when he woke up he insisted he wanted an ice cream cone instead.  Don't be fooled by his smiles though, he refused to even try one lick!!!  Silly nut.

Mmmmm.. it was delicious.  :)

After the failed ice cream cone, he decided he would take pie after all.  

But he refused to try this too.  :/  Gagged when I put the apples in his mouth.  A few days later he helped me run errands at the store and I got him a 25 cent lollipop he asked for.  He held it for half an hour, took one forced lick, and then of course cried when we took it away.  I guess we'll just stick to m&m's and fruit snacks for his treats until he learns to appreciate all that real dessert has to offer.
